About The Job This is a senior-level position responsible for sourcing real estate investments by developing and executing strategic real estate investment alternatives, designing plans to pursue the selected strategic investment initiatives, creating and maintaining an effective acquisition team and managing the people, programs, processes, and analysis of acquiring commercial real estate. The position is also responsible for identifying and securing financing alternatives for the real estate investments acquired and, to a lesser extent, for assets already in the portfolio. This position is responsible for managing and directing a team of acquisition personnel and analysts. In addition, the position will be responsible for contributing to the sale process in terms of strategy, pricing, listings, and negotiations relative to the sale and other areas. The position will be responsible for assisting in the transition of new real estate investments to property management and operations and will assume a strategic and asset management role in the ongoing operation of assets that are acquired. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated team player, exhibiting leadership characteristics and possess a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7-10 years related experience with a private investor, opportunity fund, investment bank, or other opportunistic profit-oriented investment organization. This is an entrepreneurial, not institutional position, with a very dynamic and aggressive company. Experience must be in locating, structuring, negotiating, and financing commercial real estate transactions including “workout” investments, troubled assets and loans. An undergraduate degree is required and a graduate degree with emphasis in finance and real estate is preferred. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
POSITION REQUIREMENTS Experience Requirements The successful candidate will be a seasoned, experienced real estate acquisition executive with a minimum of 7-10 years related experience typically gained with a private investor, opportunity fund, or investment bank. Should have proven track record of locating, structuring, financing and disposing of successful real estate investments.
