Jordan Kavana - Director of Transcendent Investment Management. Click here for bio. Steven Kluger is the Special Advisor to Transcendent Investment Management and has a unique strategic finance and corporate development background with experience in both the global, corporate environment and in the entrepreneurial, private equity and asset management marketplace. Mr. Kluger was President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Capital Markets Services, Inc. and a Vice President of the General Electric Company (GE). After 15+ years at GE, he left in 2007 to become a Founding member of a team which raised $2.1 billion of equity to establish Tygris Commercial Finance, Inc. (Tygris). In both these roles, Mr. Kluger exhibited special skills in delivering results within a matrix chain of command, working cross-functionally for all the major GE and GE Capital business leaders, and representing the interests of several major Private Equity firms backing Tygris (ie. TPG, New Mountain Capital, Hamilton Lane, Goldman Sachs, MSD Capital, etc.). Mr. Kluger has a unique background as a global business builder/operator, as a strategic partner/leader, and as a principal investor. Mr. Kluger received B.A. and M.A. Degrees in French Literature from Vassar College in 1981 and a MBA from New York University in 1987. He was appointed as an officer of General Electric Company in 1999. Matt Trusch is the China–Country, Investor Relations Manager at Transcendent Investment Management and graduated with honors from Harvard University and Dartmouth College. He has spent 15 years of his career working and living in Asia. Mr. Trusch is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, having begun his language studies in 1986, and continuing on with advanced studies in Beijing with a Duke University Program in 1988, then in Harbin in 1992. In 1993 he had an internship with a Beijing investment consultancy, and in 1994 was posted to Hong Kong and Singapore with Merrill Lynch Asia’s investment banking group, specializing in corporate finance. From 1998-2009, Mr. Trusch lived primarily in Shanghai managing a number of international ventures. Among these ventures, he was posted in 2006 to serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the Asian operations of a New York real estate group investing in China. Mr. Trusch led the company’s efforts to negotiate with the Shanghai government for the purchase of a $1 billion, 2.8 square kilometer, 1.8 million square meter development project adjacent to the F1 racetrack. In 2008, he also forged a joint venture with a local Shanghai real estate developer to co-manage a London AIM-listed $200 million real estate fund, which was postponed due to market conditions. Daniel Gagliano is the Asset Manager, Eastern States at Transcendent Investment Management. His responsibilities include market analysis, operator relations, and day-to-day management of the portfolio’s assets. Mr. Gagliano attended Louisiana State University where he completed coursework in accounting, economics, business, and technical sales. Before joining Transcendent Investments, Mr. Gagliano was Assistant Vice President of Capital Markets at a Florida-based hedge fund. Shalimar Santiago is responsible for the Business Development for Transcendent Investment Management. In the course of a diverse 10-year career in all aspects of real-estate development, investment and asset management, Ms. Santiago has proven to be a skilled executive, visionary entrepreneur, and turnaround expert. She started her career working alongside investment bankers at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter where she managed several relationships between clients and advisors that led her to begin establishing in her own network of investors. Ms. Santiago began investing in real estate after her deployment from the firm and solely focused on distressed real estate investments where she partnered with numerous real estate investors and general contractors. She participated in over three hundred real estate transactions and renovations in the central Florida area. Through the course of her career she focused on working with private equity instead of the traditional funding mechanisms and raised over $50 million dollars in private capital for real estate transactions. With her experience in private funding she began brokering capital within other industry sectors, which led her to establish the Investor’s Advisors Network. Ms. Santiago maintains active relationships with private equity investment groups and oversees investment projects in real estate, technology, and entertainment. She currently holds an active Florida Real Estate License, Insurance Brokerage License, and is continuing her education in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Finance. Greg Fishman has extensive experience in the legal issues related to real estate transactions. Prior to joining Transcendent, he worked for seven years at Beach Title a South Florida-based, family-owned title company where he oversaw the closings of over $100 million worth of residential and commercial real estate deals, and oversaw numerous foreclosure, short sale, and REO transactions. Mr. Fishman received a J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law in 2002 and MBA from its Kogod School of Business in 2003. He is admitted to The Florida Bar and is a member of the Florida Association of Realtors. Rolando Del Valle is the Accountant for Transcendent Investment Management and brings over ten years experience in all aspects of Accounting and Auditing. Prior to joining Transcendent, Mr. Del Valle worked as an Internal Auditor for Systemax and was the Senior Accountant at The Webster Food Company. Mr. Del Valle received his MBA in Business Administration from Jones International University, as well as a BA in Accounting from the Florida International University. |
